Question for you SHOO-BIZ type peoples.

I have a copy of the 40th Anniversary issue of Variety (1973/74) and there are two FULL PAGE ads from somebody named Jeanne Baird.

One is a photo of said person....the other is some type of fable about a little blonde girl being eaten by wolves.

IMDB lists some credits and says she is Victoria Meyerink's mother (is that the little girl who was on Danny Kaye's show?) ... who the hell is Jeanne Baird?

What are your feelings regarding toe socks? What about the practice of wearing socks with sandals? Do you prefer plain all-one-color socks or socks with patterns, stripes, and so on?

And why am I thinking about socks all of a sudden?

Socks with sandals: I can't help but laugh whenever I see this, and I have no idea why.

The plain/fancified debate: I subscribe to the fancified school of sockery.

No socks with my sandals, DR SANDRA....but I do like closed-toe sandals...dancer's feet, you know.

Patterned socks for dressing up....white crew socks with gray toes/heels just because they are easy to find and buy. I also have some plain white crew socks for sneakers and casual wear.

Right now I am wearing white crew socks, one has gray toe and heel, the other is gray from toe to heel including the sole....I do not know where their mates are.

Here is one of the drawings that Mae-Ling Goldstein drew yesterday. You can see the heart in pink and stripes. Her daddy is on the right. You can see the love in his heart.

At this point, Mae-Ling told me that her daddy needs to get married.

Then she drew Miss Low-a (me) to the left of her daddy. You can see the love in my heart, too.

She informed me that I could marry her daddy.

Instead of staying "logged in", we should each get out of HHW.com, then reenter. Get out. Reenter. Get out. Reenter.

Don't know how many times each we should do this.

If 10 of us worked at -- did it 300 times -- the final record would be set.

But with folks tending to stay logged on all day, this is a record that probably won't break easily.

It was the usual back-clapping affair, with lots of speeches and bragging. Georgia's song was cute, Stephen's song was not one of his best, and Jason A's song was - well, we like Jason A. as an actor, and I don't think songwriting is necessarily going to be his strong suit.

Is Jason Alexander also a creator on the MARTY musical, or just hoping to play the lead?

Just came from a festive Mexican dinner with my mother, sister, and brother-in-law. My sister and her husband, who live in Michigan, have been in Florida for a couple of weeks and are staying at my mom's until the weather looks clear enough up north for them to head home. They may be here a while.

Good Evening!

Well, that was nice surprise... Since I was about to head out to get something to eat... And since DR Cillaliz wanted to grab a bite to eat after her trip in... I headed on down to the Edison, and then guided Cillaliz over to 9th Avenue, and headed up to 54th. We ended up supping at El Centro - a nice little Mexican place.

Good food. Good drinks. Good company. Good conversation.

After dinner we walked around Times Square until I needed to head back down underground to catch the train back uptown. -"Idol", ya know. (Sad, but true.) As for DR Cillaliz.... Well, she's a grown woman. I'm sure she'll be fine.
