Well, Rodzinski and TPunk, anway.

That's another can of worms entirely.

Jose-Those cookies look delicious, just what this growing girl doesn’t need.

Well, this growing boy doesn't necessarily need them either, but...

Those are some damn good cookies!

*Today was my first time trying their Oatmeal Raisin ones.  I was very pleasantly surprised.  However, my favorites are still their other three varieties: Chocolate Chip Walnut, Chocolate Chocolate Chip, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip.

**And I have to say my saving grace is that each cookie is $3.50 - and well worth every penny - but they're definitely the type I would "casually" buy a dozen to take back to the apartment.  -Besides, that would be over five pounds(!) of cookies!

Just made some tuna pasta salad and am chilling it.  I think it will be ready to be consumed in thirty minutes, if I can wait that long.  Again, I shall be confined to the bedroom environment for movie watching.

DR Ginny - I like the Skyline Hotel over on 10th Ave., between 49th and 50th.

www.skylinehotelny.com

*I find I get better information and rates when I call the hotel.  The "new" wing is quite roomy and worth the extra $10-20/night.  However, the "old' isn't bad either.

DR Jose - thanks.  The online rates are about what I've been seeing other places, but I might try to call.  Not tonight, though.  I'm about to crash.

Well, their reservations desk closes at 5:00pm anyway, so... Enjoy your "crash".

Ginny-Will you be returning to NY in October?

Jane - Yes, my Foundation Center conference is Oct. 5-6, so I'll probably plan to spend the first week of October there.  Unless I have many more days like today at work and decide to retire early  ::)

In other news, DH Richard said 4 big guys showed up today, dug out the mystery van, and drove it away.

LOL-Ginny, glad the van is gone.

I will be interested in which hotel you decide on for October, maybe your new NY hotel will be the Sky Line.

If would like to try one of the boutique hotels near Jane Street.

DR MBarnum - I spent some time last night and today looking at hotel possibilities and I wish we could find a fire escape to sleep on  :o

DR Jose - what's the name of the hotel you like?

DR Ginny---try the Edison. Cheap and oh, so convenient.

For a lark this afternoon, JoAnn and I watched SNAKES ON A PLANE.

DR MBarnum, the film I just watched gave me several ideas on decorating the fire escape for your visit.

Decorating it...with SNAKES???

Re: tonight's AMERICAN IDOL

*
*
*

Just a few thoughts.

Okay i think i love blake (beat boxer). He was my favorite followed by phil (guy with baby).  I also like chris richardson (justin timberlake).

I do like the bushy haired chris, although i did not think he was that good tonight.

I suspect that the people who were featured on the show will move through easily (the indian brother, sundance, the 4 guys i mentioned above.

People who were not featured (aj, nick ...) will be in a lot of trouble.

Sometime today the serviceman stopped by and fixed the machine. He was lucky that the minister happened to be there; it is the minister's vacation. I had specifically instructed the serviceman to call ME before coming by. So at least it is fixed.

RE: STUDIO 60.

DR MattH, I've actually been really enjoying the show lately. Maybe it depends on whether you like matt and harriet.

I thought that it made perfect sense that luke (harriet's beau) was a jerk. They totally showed him being a jackass last week in the backstory episode.

I suppose it was unprofessional how harriet acted. But i think the point was that luke was acting like a jerk and only asking her do scenes to prove his control over things. And to make matt mad.

Also, i didn't get that harriet went back to matt.  She went back to the studio. And she agreed to help him through his writer's block. But i think things with them are totally up in the air, still.

BK, I addressed your notes and changed most of them. A few were instances where I didn't have the coverage.

I put together the best parts of the tracks from the 4 cameras, and fixed the spot where all the tapes changed at the same time with no vocal coverage from the DV.

I will work on finishing Act II tomorrow night...I have a double session today.

I think so..

One of the kids today asked about a Burt REynolds movie and instead of Smokey and the Bandit, I referred to it as Smokey and the Burned Burrito.
