Beadle Vibes for DR JOSE.

Was Mr Sondheim there?

Umm... If I knew Mr. Sondheim was going to be in attendance, I would not have bothered to go in.  And if had been in the room when I arrived today, I probably would have peed my pants.

;)

However, the music supervisor was there.  I met her a few years ago through a mutual friend, and after my audition we had a small catch up session.  That was nice.

No.  When I go out, WE go out.

Plus I've got work tomorrow.

Did he remember "Valentine's Day"?

As for the snow and sleet and everything else...

It was quite cold when I left my audition.  But after running my errands, it actually felt a little warmer.  And the wind had died down too.

The sidewalks were very "interesting".  Since there was still stuff falling from the skies, "they" were not required to clear off the sidewalks yet.  So, walking around midtown required some big steps and good balance.  I saw more than one person slip on the slush.  Of course, the cars were driving as if there nothing on the roads - lots of spinning wheels.

Well, don't bang too hard.  I wouldn't want you going through the next couple of days with a self-inflicted concussion.

-However, if you were Mr. Sondheim, well...  well...  nevermind.

Well, speaking of Sondheim...it looks like there's a possibility of TWO Sondheim revivals on Broadway (according to Playbill.com)!

London's Sunday in the Park With George Likely to Play Studio 54

and

Will Encores! Follies Find Its Way to Broadway?

Thoughts, anyone??

My iPod (1st generation Mini, Blue) is Virginia's iPod.  It's on its last legs, I'm afraid - won't play more than a couple of hours between charges - and I'm about to splurge on an 8 gig red Nano.  I'll have to come up with a real racy name for that.

I have an iPod, but I never use it. I bought a docking station when the store was going out of business (60% 0ff) I thought I'd immediately use it, but I haven't.

I don't have an iPod, but I do have a couple of MP3 players that are watches!  One is 128 MB and can hold a little more than two hours of music, the other has 1 GB and I've actually put about 15 hours worth of music on it.  The headphone jack is smaller than the regular headphone jack size but they both came with an adaptor.  They also connect to my computer through USB cables (both cables work with either watch).  The only problem is that they only play songs in the order in which they were added to the player.  If I want to listen to a cast recording in order, I have to put the songs on one at a time and in the correct order. :P That's the only drawback.  Otherwise, they're both pretty cool! :D

I can't help, but the IMDB lists his birthdate as March 6, 1949, and gives this bio info:

"Richard grew up in the Crenshaw district of Los Angeles (Boyz n the Hood (1991)), was a semi-professional boxer, food and wine critic and successful stage director. He is also a noted Afro-Latin percussionist and the founder of the original Mystic Knights of the Oingo-Boingo. Richard's first novel, "The Schlemazl of Sebriem" will be published later this year."

Contact details are available through IMDb for anyone who is an IMDbPro member.

Thanks Ron.    I think he transferred from the Crenshaw district over to our school.  We aren't IMDB members & I don't really want to become a member.  I will keep searching.  I thought of a couple of other places to search.

MBarnum-Thank you, I had the website but not the email address.  I was going to ask my neighbor/director friend if she could look at a director site for me, no need now.  I will try the email address first.

Qu'est-ce que ça veut dire?

Earlier I offered you a "Break a leg" wish.

Given your playing down of your audition, I surmised that you are at least stating you "stubbed a toe."

No good?

I, too, have an iPod.  Well, two, technically.  I have an iPod shuffle (1st generation, 512MB, white), and a iPod nano (2nd generation,  Product (RED), 4G).  I believe they're both named "Jose's iPod".  And I find myself using my iPod nano more than I thought I would.  -They're both great for long subway rides and car trips.

Sort of funny-scary story time...

My roommate, Jim, had a call from his brother earlier.  His brother was telling him that he had been dealing some sort of infection on his toe nails.  So, he went to the doctor today to have it checked out, and as soon as his brother took his socks off, his doctor said, "You have frostbite."  What?!?

Jim's brother lives in Cleveland, where it's been cold and snowy the past couple of days.  And he's just been walking around in sneakers.  Additionally, his brother has been looking at new houses lately, and whenever he goes into a new house, he's been taking off his shoes... And there's been no heat in the new houses.  So...

Well, it was a good thing he went to his doctor when he did.  If he had waited another few days, his doctor said there was a chance they would have to amputate a couple of his toes.  YIKES!

...Well, it was/is a sort of funny story.  Isn't it?

Well, I've already expressed my interest in the possible mounting of Sunday.  I would love to play that show again.

And since I was out of town last weekend, I would love a chance to see the Encores! Follies.
