now...for the myspace words of warning

Users of the popular MySpace website have been warned by computer experts that viruses linked to the interactive site, which boasts more than one million regular users, are in circulation.

Experts believe that hackers have hit the hugely popular site and say the viruses in circulation can change settings, delete files, secretly track users' movements online and even damage computers.

They believe that the hackers have hidden dangerous software on the site which means that computers can be attacked unaware to users while they are just viewing pages.
"There is a very real threat to users of MySpace, and in fact we have already seen several MySpace specific viruses emerge," Graham Cluley of computer security company Sophos told the Standard Lite newspaper.

This was discovered the week of December 5th, 2006- I am sure it is fixed by now, but be careful, these things happen more often than not.

MySpace was attacked by the Quickspace worm that abused an alleged "feature" of Apple QuickTime movie files to inject and execute malicious javascript in user profile pages. The malicious code attempted to phish accounts and to offer spyware to an unspecified number of users with obvious hopes of financial gain by the perpetrators. The primary cause that made the attack possible is not a MySpace flaw, but rather an Apple QuickTime feature that is clearly a security vulnerability. Just a little knowledge...myspace is a very fragile tool. because there are soo many users the workers cannot look through and test everything fast enough (I know a guy who's job is too look though pages for pornographic material). Since so many people using myspace do not know much about computers and feel safe putting personal info on such a friendly site it is a prime place to gather info and set up hacks and viruses.

Good morning, all! Hello and goodbye, DR Ben. My Toyland colleague has finished his work on THE COAST OF UTOPIA so today we get a little closer to the finish of Volume One of the orchestra score. Yesterday, I finished the ANNIE GET YOUR GUN mixes. I had such a great time working with Kirk Bailey that R&H has asked me to work on three more of their shows over the next few months.

In his notes today our Dear Friend BK wrote: Plus, I realized I’d left one track of the track listing on the Brain inlay card – thank goodness I caught that and it is now fixed, as well. Was it "Saucers In The Sky" which was accidentally left off my rough mix? Curious minds want to know!

TOD: Du-Par's! Du-Par's! Du-Par's! Although Sarabeth's Kitchen around the corner has a wonderful breakfast menu, I think Du-Par's is still the best.

I'm not a huge fan of big breakfasts, but once in a great while I do like a nice platter of steak 'n' eggs. Favorite places that serve them: Brown's, on the boardwalk in Ocean City, NJ, and Olga's Diner, in Marlton, NJ.

A good diner breakfast of two eggs over easy, home fries (different from the hash browns you usually get at a Perkins or Embers in Minneapolis), some bacon (not to crisp) whole wheat toast and a bottomless cup of coffee. Mmm, mmm, mmm. Though I can't eat that too often. My doctor objects.

I will be entertaining friends from Nottingham (actually Gedling, a small town outside of Nottingham) tomorrow. Anthony is on his way out to Long Island because on Saturday our English guests will travel with me out to Centereach for dinner and a good time. They always bring presents from Marks & Spencers (Marks & Sparks in Cockney rhyming slang). A tin of biscuits! Hoo and Ray.
