I'm sorry your camera doesn't have a viewfinder, DR George. You will find it hard to take photos in direct sunlight. You just can't see what is on the screen--at least I can't on mine. I use the viewfinder all the time at the dog park.
I don't understand why they even have a lower pixel setting. Seems a waste to me. If your going to take a photo, don't you want to take the best one you can? How are you going to know when you are going to take that one special picture and you'll want to blow it up or crop it or do something that you can't do with a lower setting?
Yea...my sister's camera has the option and I always used the view finder to save battery power. Oh well...it was a gift, and otherwise, a mighty fine gift it was!

I know. But I suppose that there are some people in the world who might want the option of not having to manually resize pictures. Who knows, maybe I'll find a specific use for it...or not.
