My bad habit---when I'm having a stressful edit, I run my fingers through my hair and pull on it---sort of a scalp massage (I don't really pull my hair out over this stuff) or a way to get blood flowing to my brain.

When producers who know me well walk into the edit room and see my hair almost standing on end like Buckwheat, they address me in a calm, subdued tone of voice.

I shouldn't wonder....

rather than watching special features (probably saving them for the weekend), I put in THE KING AND I since we had been talking about it earlier in the week.

I had a lovely dinner last night with Greg, my cellist friend from long ago, and prepared by my Little French boy®. Duck, which he smuggled in from France (no comments about cavity searches, please) pesto mashed potatoes and ratatouille (however you spell it!) I brought a tirimusu cake from our friends who own a French bakery. Lots of good wine, too. It was yummilicious and the cause of my E&T status.

Poor Jack Soo. The guys on BARNEY MILLER never liked his coffee either.
I'm told I used to dance to the Barney Miller theme whenever the show came on.  :-[

Save the Special Features! Save the World!

Was the "Kill the Beast, Kill the Beast" scene from B&B inspired by an over zealous editor?

Okay...who gets tomorrow off as a holiday?

Not me...I'm working.  All the libraries are closed on Saturday, though.  But since I don't normally work on Saturday (except to make up time that I missed earlier in the week), I can 1) take a day off at some other time within this pay period, 2) get paid for the 8 hours in addition to my normal paycheck, or 3) add 8 hours to my normal monthly vacation accrual.  I plan to add the extra hours to my vacation time, which I've been using way too much over the last couple of months.

Dammed condo and Cannibal rehearsals! >:(

Now that I’ve seen the last episode of HEROES I’m off the fence when it comes to Niki.  I don’t care for her.

SPOILER:

What “sweet” Niki knows about her other half she should want her kid as far away from her as possible, even if it means taking him to his Grandmother’s.

*HUGS* I have clinical depression as well. And no insurance, thus no doc/meds.  I've been relying on an OTC cocktail & it's efficacy is so-so.

That’s tough, however, not affording medication might be a good thing.  While some people have been saved by it I know others whose symptoms became dangerously aggravated, resulting in more medication.

I hope you are getting plenty of exercise, sleep & take advantage of friends & family when you need them.
