And now, I'm headed down to clean the bedroom areas and then back for more CSI: NY episodes until tonight's loaded prime-time line-up begins.

If I didn't have two VCRs, I'd be in a heap of trouble!

I'll go away for 5 weeks every year or so RLP just to make it easier.  Your REAL # posts would be an amazing total by now.

Were the hand beanies ever offered for sale, I wonder?  Was there any merchandising for 5.000 FINGERS?  Was it an actual Seuss book?

Sigh.

I don't know, though....for a while there, in those early days, we were neck and neck.  I never could have kept up with the onslaught that was BK and JRand(was it 53 then or 52?)  ... and Matt and Jose -- whew!

Quote from MattH.
Quote
Did you see the show in question? She was subdued. Very much so. And very effective.

BTW, wasn't her daughter in the show 12 in 1992? Liza's character could certainly have had a 12 year old in 1992.

Matt, before you jump to conclusions, I was not criticizing Liza Minnelli.  On the contrary, I love Liza.  I was only commenting on the fact that you said nice things about her, rather than bashing her like everybody else.

No, I didn't see the show, but I am certainly looking forward to seeing it in reruns

Thursday evening greetings!  My trip to Columbus was very worthwhile.  The conference provided a lot of useful info that I can work into the workshops that I teach.  It also provided time to reconnect with some co-workers and other colleagues with whom I'd lost touch.

As I reviewed the posts from yesterday and today, I saw lots of lovely pictures.

Belated vibes for DR Kerry's mom~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Oh, God, I hope so!

Yes, the next conceit in theater is that the entire cast of a musical will be on stage orchestrating it as they go!

Or maybe all they'll hand out sheet music to the audience and make them sing the songs.

Welcome Singing Nymph. Do you do part -time work as someone's muse I wonder.
Not at the moment (that I'm aware of), but I wouldn't turn down the job. Heh... come to think of it, I wish I had my own.

Glad you're back DRGINNY.

DR RLP - what are the interviews for?  I must have missed it?

Well, I think the ONLY composer for "Diminishing Returns" would be Cole Porter, and since he's busy being dead, perhaps Mr BK will compose said song.

I like to see a FULL production.  When I listen to the LP/CD - I never imagine just a few people on NO set singing the songs.

I know it's expensive and I know sometimes a SMALL production of a favorite show is all we'll get.  But I think "better than nothing" is small praise and lowered expectations doesn't always translate into enjoyment...for me, that is.

I'm here
With you, dear.
But it's clear
Though you're near,
That only one fire burns.

I hold
And I'm told
My once bold
Embrace 's cold.
Diminishing returns.

Ten minutes to go until work is over! Huzzah!

Then to Chinese dinner with my mom at Hong Kong House and grocery shopping at Fred Meyers On-Stop Shopping.

It has just been a dull day (at work)
