I really enjoyed last night's LOST.

(spoilers from last night's show).

I too really enjoyed sawyer's backstory. It is actually my favorite kind of backstory when we learn something that we did not know before.

The whole jail thing was very interesting (were we supposed to know he had been in jail?)  But i especially loved how he got out.

But my favorite part of the show was henry gale/ben's con on sawyer. They had me fooled too. So brilliant. I loved it.

And the preview for next week with jack and ben looks great too.

I believe SURVIVOR is a clips recap show. But hopefully if they show enough new stuff it could be interesting.

Well, I fell into some luck. I will be seeing Company next Wednesday, November 1st. A friend's friend can't use her ticket so I am the lucky recipient. It's in the rear mezz of the Barrymore but it's a TDF ticket so I can live with it.

I want to see the show because it's Company but I must admit I'm beginning to tire of the concept of stripped down musicals. Bobby sitting at the piano playing and singing Being Alive seems more like a cabaret show than Company. Oh, well. We shall see. At least I'm seeing the show. I had planned on seeing it anyway and now I'm confirmed....

Company starring Hugh Panaro is playing at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle.  I'd really like to see it (it closes November 5th), but I don't know if I can with rehearsals, and all.  Hopefully, I can make it. :)

If you do, go backstage and tell Hugh I said he never writes, he never calls.  I called him this summer and left a message that a friend was in from London and he never called back.

And great news!  My email is back in service.

I forgot about pufferfish! I had them @ the Hamptons (the non-fancy part) last year when we edited on location. Yummy!

Thanks, Donald, for the Marvin show this week. Very enjoyable.

I must say, though, after hearing the original Broadway cast CD and snips of the new one, I won't be buying the new one. If I get it for free, I'll take it but I won't go out of my way to buy it. The orchestrations are not to my liking, some of the singing leaves me cold and the synthesized sound drives me up the wall! Just my humble opinion.

Pufferfish Heaven!

The Lobster Roll, in Montauk. Almost on par for character with Willow Pond Kitchen! I would say this is my favorite American seafood restuarant.

DRMBARNUM - John Gabriel is GREAT in The Hunters.  It's a fun movie about jet pilots with Robert Mitchum and Lee Philips, and Mai Britt....

And John didn't play Allison's husband....he played her BROTHER in 77 SUNSET STRIP.  Did he have anything to say about her?

Salmon fingers?

My favorite fish dish was something called SEAFOOD PICASSO that I had in a restaurant in Baltimore....it was colorful and delcious....and there was LOTS of everything on it!

That's what I get for not watching that episode like I had planned...but darn if I could find it when I needed it.

He didn't remember Allison or the episode in question...he didn't even remember ever being on 77 Sunset Strip (although he did recall Surfside 6 and Hawaiian Eye).

I like seafood but it is ridiculously expensive here.. ONe can get locally raised walleye for a reasonable price but things like salmon and stuff are very high priced.

I remember being rather fond of Arthur Treacher's Fish and Chips.  Tried it not too long ago, though, and it didn't live up to what i remembered from decades ago.

I'm fish-flashing back to other good times...on the Gaspé peninsula in Canada with my little French boy, where the local delicacy was "cod tongue".  We would get into giggling fits about this and wondering what the cod said that was so bad that they cut its tongue out! (It was pretty good, but nothing I couldn't live without...)

Lobser is my favorite, but that's usually reserved for my birthday.

Does anyone else see hints of Anthony Hopkins in MBarnum's avatar (the young, handsome Anthony Hopkins, that is, of course).

DRMBARNUM - he is the first man who met her who didn't remember her...except Gene Barry - who didn't even remember his own name.
