I finished the afternoon watching the last episode on the second disc of the GREY"S ANATOMY boxed set. This was the one dealing with the birth of the quintuplets and also Meredith's one night stand who had a erectile dysfunction. Lovely episode, but I had seen it before.

Two of the episodes on this disc had audio commentaries which I didn't listen to this time around. When I've finished the set, I'll go back and rewatch the shows while listening to the commentaries.

In what has become as chronic case of procedural blight, COLD CASE has also begun sequences dealing with the private lives of the detectives, so the procedurals aren't so pure any more. We're getting more personal melodrama with the detectives running side-by-side with the investigations.

I guess the majority likes these inside looks at the personal lives of the characters on the show, but it ruins it a little bit for me.

Sign my name to that petition! If I wanted melodrama I'd watch "Days of Our Lives" :)

Some back-story personal data that might add poignancy to a characters relating to the issues at hand would be fine, but I don't need sexual tension between the workers to keep me engaged. (Well, "Bones" might be an exception.)

Hi All!  Hi Ginny, wanna sit next to me on the bus?

I hope that DR TomovOz and DP Colin are have the most wonderful time in NY possible.  It's such a shame that DR 's Ginny, Jane and Cilliliz are missing them by only a few days.

Now if I could just figure out a way to bump their week up and the ladies week back and manage to turn the clock back a year so I could be there as well then we would really have one heck of a HHW gathering!  :)

Well, I guess I'll be on my way to the official beginning of rehearsal.  More importantly, then I shall be on my way to a dining adventure ala Joe Allen, after which, I shall return.

U.S. to Relax Air Travel Carry-On Restrictions

By LARA JAKES JORDAN, AP

WASHINGTON (Sept. 25) - The government is partially lifting its ban against carrying liquids and gels onto airliners, as long as they are purchased from secure airport stores, and will also permit small, travel-size toiletries brought from home, officials said Monday.

New procedures also were announced for toiletries and products like lip gloss and hand lotion that passengers bring to the airport. Previously, those liquids have been confiscated at security checkpoints. Now, these products will be limited to 3-ounce sizes and must fit in a clear, 1-quart size plastic bag. The bags will be screened and returned if they are cleared.
The new security regimen is for an indefinite period and will take effect Tuesday morning.

NY judge throws out suit against Liza Minnelli

Would just living with Liza causee the same symptoms?

Off to clean the dining room now. Then, back to Eileen Heckart's story, and then to a full evening of network TV.

DR Elmore - I learned a new word from you today:

Sitzprobe

And thanks for the further MetroCard illumination!

Good Afternoon!

...And then there are those theatre companies who hold a "Wandelprobe".  Sometimes it's a better alternative - it allows the actors to go through their blocking in stage, thus allowing the conductor and the actors find places where they might need to adjust the blocking in order to keep the lines of communication open.  It's all about sightlines.  Also, a wandelprobe can also be used to give the sound department an initial try at the mic-ing set-up.  However, if you're really lucky - and the budget allows for such things - you will both a sitzprobe and a wandelprobe.

Well, I finished my work. Sheesh! It was only 10 pages. Usually I can whip that out in no time but my brain just couldn't pull it together quickly. Oh well, I made the deadline and that's all that matters.

Well, best pack up the mass of papers I have strewn about from doing the brief and start thinking about the audition.  I'm looking forward to it. I've been meaning to get to know more of the local theatre crowd, this will be a good way to do it.

...And it was quite the scene - and traffic jam - when I was walking through Times Square earlier...

At one end, they were setting up the seats for tonight's simulcast of Madama Butterfly from the Met.  Yep, they've set up chairs in the middle of Times Square.  They'll be showing the opera on one of the jumbo-trons down there.

And then at the other end of the plaza, there was a mini-stage set-up since Diddy (formerly P. Diddy) was about to make a special appearance in conjunction with the release of his new album tomorrow.  I also believe he was on MTV's TRL today too.

Needlees to say, I've never heard so much horn-honking in my life.

I’m exhausted & trying not to fall asleep.  Friday we drove 10 hours to Bakersfield for the night, then Saturday spent most of the day playing with the litter of puppies and deciding Sherlock had the best temperament of them all.  :D :D The breeder put us to work helping her bathe them all.  It was a very fun day.

After the fun & games we headed to L.A. for the night to visit with Keith’s mother, and then back in the direction of the breeder for our Saturday morning adoption.

It is amazing how much “stuff” is needed when traveling with an 8 week old puppy.  :o Keith slept, I should say didn’t sleep, on the hotel floor in a puppy playpen to keep Sherlock company and quiet.  He really was very good and handled the trip well.

Last night, his first in a crate, I slept on the floor next to him.  We all got up at 2:00 and again at 5:30 for him to go out.  Once again he was very good so I think we can sleep in the comfort of our own bed tonight, of course that might make it more difficult to get up at 2:00AM.

There are a couple of Bollywood movies coming out in the near future that I am looking forward to, but other then that I am unsure what movie releases we have "coming to a theatre near you."

As for the cartoon movies...frankly, I don't think they have been releasing enough of them...I haven't found anything fun to take Taylor to in many moons (except CARS which we just never got to).

I am hoping a theatrical sequel to Curious George will be in our future as both Taylor and I loved the first movie!
