Nice evening of TV. I started with a MURDER SHE WROTE rerun, one I couldn't remember from about the middle of the show's run. Ron Masak had taken over from Tom Bosley, so I'm thinking it was probably seven years in or so.

Next came two episodes of GREY'S ANATOMY back-to-back. This was the supercharged Super Bowl episode and the conclusion of the two-partner that featured the rocket inside the man's body.

Kyle Chandler and Christina Ricci both earned Emmy nominations for their guest star roles on these episodes. Ricci might win for her work. Chandler was fine, but if he ends, I suspect it will be more for his character's fate than for the acting otherwise.

I still think James Woods is going to win it for ER.

And then at 10 I watched the 9 p.m. CSI episode. This was George Eads' finest hour from this past season as the CSIs investigate the deaths of an entire family where there is plenty of blood but no bodies.

I haven't seen the movie version of THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE in a long, long time, and I noticed that one of the HBO channels was showing it this afternoon, so I set the DVR to pick it up. Imagine my disgust when this Panavision movie was pan and scanned for broadcast. So, it got deleted about five minutes into the viewing. I'll have to make do with the DVD from the Delacorte live performance.

Where in California will dear reader Laura be?  Here in LA?  She'd better call, if so.

Danish movie is done, and am now starting Mr. Kurosawa's Scandal.

Ten pages of postings - that's what I'M talkin' about.  Maybe we've gotten back up to speed.  I so wish I could post the cover of the book - I so wish I could even look at it right now.

I'm really in the mood for a musical for tomorrow, so I'll start combing the archives to find something I haven't seen in awhile and want to see again. At this point, I have no idea what it will be.

Haven't gotten any original art in years, but I was able to do some tradin' tonight, and next week I'll be the proud owner of an original Cracked Magazine cover painting used for issue 104 (circa 1972).  It's a wonderful piece of comic art depicting the cast of The Godfather (for a spoof called The Rodfather).

I will be in Pasadena. I wanted to drive over, but they convinced me to fly.  I wish now that they hadn't. If I had been able to drive over, I might have been able to sneak out for pancakes.

Just call when you get in - let's see if we can work out a meal.

In the meantime, let's see if I can post the Cracked #104 art.

I have meetings most of the time. I'll have to see if I can get out of some of the evening stuff. Or maybe late on Saturday night?

My brother Dane had an AMC Hornet in olive green....it caught fire and burned up....then it was kind of black and brown and green.

Of the three hotels I've stayed at in Vegas - the Riviera, the Rio and Bally's - the Rio was my favorite.  now if only they could take that hotel and actually put it ON the Strip, that would be something.

We have been staying at the Gold Coast when we can. It is smaller and not so overwhelming as the big hotels. And they have no pictures of scantily clad girls.

TCB, great TV spot.  Jed and I have been trying to catch it, with limited success.  I'm glad they posted it on the website.  You look fantastic.
