I was surprised to hear that. The economy has been doing OK overall, but the tariffs have really hurt many businesses. NY stores--that surprised me.


When I went to the dollar store the shelves were nearly empty...so I'm not sure if that's about to close or they're having trouble getting stuff cheap enough to sell for $1 because of tariffs

Interesting.  I haven't been to the local Dollar Tree in a while.  I'll have to check it out.
