Well, I enjoyed the Tacoma Little Theatre production of A Little Night Music.

Tom, you were right...Desiree was very good, and so was Henrich.

I didn't dislike the Liebeslieder quintet as much as you did.  They did tend to overact their chorus parts, but I've seen a lot worse.

I loved Madame Armfeldt's "Liaisons."  I thought that that was the best version of the song that I've ever seen.

In "You Must Meet My Wife," I really liked the way that Desiree primped and got her self "ready" for Frederik when he wasn't looking.  I'd never seen that and it was a great way to give her something to do.

She was very good, but I preferred Sharry’s version.

One moment that I REALLY didn't like was having Frederik cry during "Send In the Clowns."  WTH?? :o

I don't doubt that she was good, too.

I brought home the flyer for their next season.  This, their 100th season, they brought back shows that had been performed during their 100 seasons.  Next season will be shows that they've never done.

That is true.  Although I didn’t realize that TERMS OF ENDEARMENT and THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE were plays.

I don't know if TMC is new, but the description for ToE says that it's a "new stage adaptation."

I was reminded of this by some chat in the Times site;

Remembering the unofficial BMIl workshop lore,

Edit:  I double-checked the wording info:

Theory that there are only four kinds of theatre songs, (by David Arthur)
I want to be in love-
I am in love-
I was in love-
Shipoopi.
