Giving a second listen to the new master - I think I'm doing one little twenty-second lift.

One Twenty-Second Lift - that's the title of my next novel.

And speaking of my next novel, I rewrote the opening two paragraphs, which are now to my liking - I am starting the book in the location I'd first thought of - where it goes from there and how I tie it all together is anyone's guess.  I'll discover that shortly, I presume.

In the last week our GUESTS have dwindled down by about thirty - perhaps all the spambots are taking a vacation or perhaps people like the twit have gone elsewhere.

Today, we had a very good performance of "The Wind in the Willow" and the audience certainly enjoyed it.  After that, I came home and watched a bit of TV before I had to head downtown to work concessions for a local ballet company's production of "The Nutcracker."  It was pretty busy during both the pre-show (which is unusual) and the intermission (which is normal).  The Washington Center is now able to take credit and debit cards at/for concessions, and since that has to happen on iPads, that slows things down a bit...especially when the card doesn't read properly when swiped and the info has to be entered manually, but we got through it.

Topic of the Day:  one of the highlights was being involved in a local production of "Goodnight Moon."  I ran the sound for that (the same as what I'm doing right now for "The Wind in the Willows") and the show and performers were an absolute delight.  It was so sweet and lovely.  I never got tired of watching it.

If you count theater on TV, the recent concert version of Company was definitely a highlight, as well as the Met's broadcasts of "Satyagraha" and the "Ring" cycle. :D

How could I forget running the slide show and sound effects for TAO's production of "Titus Andronicus"??  That was some great theater.

My favorite theatre experience of 2012 was probably WICKED (the tour), which I really loved.

Also MARY POPPINS, since my niece loved it so much.

Oh, yeah!  I saw Wicked in Seattle again this year.  It was still very good!

As most of you know, I really do not like change.  But sometimes change happens or is necessary and it has happened today with Kritzerland.  I'm not at all sure what this change will ultimately mean, but there are only two ways to look at these kinds of things - positively and negatively and as anyone who knows me knows, I will always opt for the positive, accentuate the positive and never ever go with the negative.  In the short term, in terms of the next five weeks, the change will be very, very helpful.  After that, it could get scary, but I'm thinking it won't.  It's actually just going back to the way in which we did things three years ago, and ultimately, as long as we do titles that people are interested in, probably everything will be fine.  But it's making me look at certain things in new ways and that's a good thing.

BK, good luck with whatever is happening with Kritzerland!!
