Waiting for final final confirmation but it looks like our guest star is going to be Bill Hayes.

A few years ago I went out to be with my sister as she recovered from cancer surgery. We didn't bother with "Thanksgiving." We didn't know what the future was going to bring. I think her tenant cooked chicken drumsticks in the Ronco Showtime Rotisserie Oven ™. We watched the Black Friday festivities on television the following day.

All of her tests since have come back cancer-free, for which I am very thankful.

That's great, Laura!

Me: "Darn it."
DR Sandra: "What?"
Me: "I melted a plastic lid on the stove while cooking the giblets."
DR Sandra: "Do you want me to bury it?"
Me: "Yes, please. Thanks."

R.I.P. Laura's plastic lid.

Last evening, I got an e-mail (actually got it twice) from this young lady currently living in California.  She filled all of us in on how life was going for her, and she broke the news that she would be home in the Northwest for six days, starting on the 27th.  That is really terrific, except I haven't the slightest idea who she is!

She didn't ask if you wanted to be a "friend with benefits," did she?  I've been getting those a LOT lately.

Why do they have to be from women??

Not that I would EVER respond to the e-mails, but the pictures are just too much. :P

Tonight I had the best phone call imaginable!! It was from my former cat sitter Sharon!!!!   She's still in the hospital and will have her 9th surgery on Tuesday, but she's getting better.  She's learning to walk again and learning to put her clothes on.  She still has a very long road ahead of her, but said she's determined to get better and to someday return to pet sitting....just no time soon.   I'm very excited to go visit her at the hospital tomorrow afternoon.

~~~CONTINUED RECOVERY VIBES FOR SHARON!!~~~
I recorded the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on both NBC and CBS.  Right now, Beth Leavel is singing and dancing in the song from Elf.  It's a cute song.
The problem was CBS's broadcast was after the football game, which went AN HOUR longer.  They joined the CBS broadcast of the parade in progress, which meant that their show performances were not shown.  Darn.  For me, that's the only reason to watch.  In general, I'm not a fan of parades.
The dress that Victoria Clark is wearing as the Fairy Godmother is not a good looking dress. :o
