I had enough time to get TWO movies watched. I began with the Blu-ray of DIE ANOTHER DAY. By far Pierce Brosnan's weakest Bond outing, it was still fun to see in HD though it wasn't as eye-popping an experience as FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE was.

DR Jose, that exhibit at Moma is cool, but could be really overpowering, which could very well be the intended effect, I don't know

I was in the mood for a musical, and so I put on GOOD NEWS.

This is a film that needs a serious remastering. The color is OK but it's not sharp enough and there are lots of colored speckles. It's really in need of a clean-up.

Then I watched tonight's GHOST WHISPERER. I found it deeply, profoundly moving. I found myself brushing away tears at several points during the show.







The last couple of minutes, of course, ruined it a bit though we all knew they were going to prolong his stay on the show SOMEHOW. Doesn't look like it's going to quite work, however.

Last night's Grey's Anatomy was a bit strange to me, as well.  I was actually squeemish when they were working on the garbage truck guy.

Which exhibit?  The Miró? -Which I guess I did find a little overwhelming.  Or the Atrium Installation?  -Which, in person, is actually quite relaxing... the dimmed lighting, the "warm" colors, the comfy couch and pillows...  ;)

We're getting some great photos this evening.....and DR TCB is taking to the boards again.

DR LAURA - the DVD is titled The Mickey Mouse Club Presents Annette....on IMDB, the show is called Walt Disney Presents Annette.

I watched the extras and first 10 episodes of the serial....it was presented daily for four weeks during the Mickey Mouse Club.

Sharon Baird looks like a midget....and in her recent interview portion she looks like Sylvia Browne.

The Shermans are interviewed....in bits taken from past presentations.

And the episode is indeed just ALMOST A FIGHT, although Steady Ware gets in a crack about almost seeing hair pulling fight....  And it's a necklace not a bracelet that is the cause of all the trouble....

I will watch the last 10 episodes later this weekend.

Lots of fun.....if you like this sort of thing.  I really hadn't seen it since seeing it for the first time when I was 8 or 9 years old.

Speaking of cats being warm.  My cats LOVE the Mysterious Purr Pad.  I have 4 of these around the house and it's where you'll find them. I think I'm going to order a couple more.  They come 2 to a package

DR Jrand - note the update, they are cheaper on PetSmart. I am amazed at how much the cats love them.  They feel rough to the touch to me, but they must be really warm.  Right now Boo is on one in front of a heat vent and Callie is on another in the middle of the floor

Tomorrow I start on Season 3 of STAR TREK: THE ORIGINAL SERIES. Once I've watched all of the episodes, I'll pull out some of my ANCIENT 2-episode original DVD issues of the series and do some A/B comparisons.

Thanks, JRand. My mom told me it was a Mickey Mouse show with a mean "Laura," but she didn't remember the name or anything. I have always wondered.

JRand, I am also watching ANNETTE tonight...it is corny and cute and great fun! I haven't seen this show since the Mickey Mouse Club reruns aired on a California station that we got way back around 1976/77.

Annette is beyond adorable and all the girls in the show are very pretty. And what gowns!

And I never really noticed Tim Considine before. He is a pretty good little actor and kind of cute.

Oh, and Sharon Baird is still very short. I met her on one of my last visits to Burbank. She was at the Ray Courts show and was going to visit Annette while she was in town. I believe that Roberta Shore also went to visit Annette. Annette sure has a lot of dear friends who still love her very much.
