I took my mom to Walmart. That is all.

I just came home from a meeting. My foot hurts. That is all.

Well, it took me a couple hours, but I installed all 5 shades tonight. And just as I finished and was thinking that I wish I had time to paint the walls now, the painter who didn't show up last summer called me!  He said he's hit a lull and doesn't have anything to do right now. He wondered if he could do the outside work we talked about last year. I told him yes and that I want an estimate of the inside work - living room, dining room and hallway up the stairs.   If it isn't too crazy, I'm going for it.  Then I can really get this place the way I want it.

They look very nice, Cillaliz. And I like the wood window frames.

The shades are pretty cool. Bali double cell cellulose. They have a really high energy efficiency rating and are supposed to be very inslating. Exactly what I need in the living room.

Thanks.  I was going to wait until I had the walls painted, but Penneys had a 60 percent off plus 15 percent off of that and I got another 10 percent off for opening a charge account.  I couldn't beat that price so I bought them.

Tomorrow morning I have a meeting with a local group that is being formed to prepare in case there is an immigration raid here in the future.  It should be interesting. I have a million things to catch up on during the day and then I do a short presentation as part of the City of Sioux City's immigration forum.  I haven't gotten that prepared yet, but it's only 20 minutes of a very general overview. I can whip that up in no time.

I sure hope that Xanadu is still running through July as we have tickets for it at that time!  Oh, and hi everyone!

I had to laugh when the painter called. Apparently I told him some story about how snow was coming in the cracks between the windows that he didn't fill in. LOL, that's just so far from being true. I told him I was just probably trying to make him feel bad for blowing me off. He said he got over it.  I think he'll work out fine.

Well, it looks like most everyone is off to bed and I should be too.  Will try to check in tomorrow as well.  Last day at work tomorrow, I'm kind of sad.  I'm just working a half day.  Lots of great people to say goodbye too.  (:  Have a great day everyone tomorrow! :)

OHHH I just discovered that The Steppenwolf Theater Company is doing a new Tracy Letts play, SUPERIOR DONUTS when I'm in Chicago in August.  I'm thinking I'll try to see it. It would mean a seminar in the morning, a baseball game with Justice Alito in the afternoon and a play at night, but it would be really fun to see them in their home theater.

Listening to Elmer Bernstein's Bernard Herrmann album, which is better than I remembered - prior to that I was listening to Salonnen's Herrmann album, which is worse than I remember - very heavy and muddy-sounding.

Gees, maybe I'll skip the baseball game. I could hang out in Chicago all afternoon then see the play. Hmmm something to check on tomorrow.  Speaking of tomorrow, I better get some sleep.
