Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of dreams and Mike Mazurki, and now it is time for you to post until the dreaming of Mike Mazurki cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ROBUST!

Good morning, friends.
-
And others.
-
Only got about 3 hours of sleep. >:(
-
But such is the way of things.
-
.
-
Who decides these things?
-
:)
-
Good morning, all!
-
Terrible night of sleep. The pains in my legs would not let me get comfortable, so I spent too much time awake and wishing I were dead.. When the alarm rang at 5:30, I went back to bed for 30 minutes, then decioded to stay in bed till I felt like getting up. At 6:45, I figured, to hell with it and dressed.
-
I hope to finish "All I Need is the Girl" today.
-
Only got about 3 hours of sleep. >:(
Maybe you'll be able to get some sleep while you're traveling?
-
George, your description of what goes on with the keepsake cups from the theatre was really interesting!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Too short a night of sleep here again. I’m hoping to catch a good nap this time.
-
Did anyone here ever go to Mamma Leone’s? I never did. When I first saw it I assumed, perhaps wrongly, that it was just a big tourist joint, and I never gave it another thought.

If you want to sign up to watch Broadway for Harris tonight.
-
It is 48 degrees right now....I may have to turn on the heat tonight.
-
I didn't watch all of The Wild Savage last night - but Clara Bow certainly had IT!
And I realized that the sound issue did not happen when she made this movie - but a previous talkie The Wild Party.
-
I shall have to think about the TOD. It's hard to remember 74 years of dreams.....
-
I don't hold onto dreams for a long time. If I mention them here, it's usually while they're fresh. The only dream I remember is having to take a test after having spent the semester sitting behind a pillar that blocked my view of the teacher -- and their view of me.

I liked The Wild Savage when I saw, which was back in high school, so more than 40 years ago. I agree she had IT, but I don't remember much of anything else. Maybe a riding crop?
-
Not ready to stir.

But ready to leave this page.

I have seen The Sniper before. I remembered it during a bad scene in which Richard Kiley fails to eat with a pair of chopsticks. The cinematographer seems to have hated Kiley. He's shot at ugly angles made to make him look too tall, too heavy, too unattractive.
-
If Richard Kiley's character has his way, all convicted sex offenders would be committed to a mental institution. That means Donald Trump would be in a straightjacket right now.
-
Good morning!

Hi!

It is a great photo, JRand, and a befitting great size.
-
LOL DR JANE.....I am big....it's the pictures that got small.
-
Thanks DR FREDDIE and DR JOHN G.....it was a lovely occasion....and her surprise and speech made it all worthwhile.....even though according to Miss One Show we are doing a lousy job.
-
I would guess so DR JOHNG. This is the only film in which I felt Roland Gilbert's sex appeal.....his later performances left me cold.....
-
LOL DR JANE.....I am big....it's the pictures that got small.
:) Excellent!
-
This fact was mentioned on another site where "Come On-a My House" was being discussed. I did not know this.
Per Wikipedia:
"'Come On-a My House' is a song written by Ross Bagdasarian and William Saroyan and originally released by Rosemary Clooney in 1951. Cousins Bagdasarian, a songwriter, and Saroyan, a Pulitzer Prize-winning writer, wrote the song while driving across New Mexico in the summer of 1939."
"It is Saroyan's only known effort at popular songwriting... "

Bk, where are the Kritzerland online shows?
-
Are they on Broadway World?
-
Are they on Facebook?
-
Are they on the Kritzerland site?
-
I wonder if I could fill up half a page imagining where they could be.
-
But that could get boring.
-
Have I gotten so old that I've forgotten where the Kritzerland online shows are?
-
They must be online somewhere.
-
I"m googling for Kritzerland online shows and can't find them.
-
A light posting day. Is it a singdaw travel day or something like that?

If you want to sign up to watch Broadway for Harris tonight.
I might be able to watch this. I don't have rehearsal tonight.
-
We had an errand to run today and it took us down a street named Cornfoot.
-
We are wondering where that funny name came from.
-
;D
-
I did a search:
"The Cornfoot family name was found in the USA, the UK, Canada, and Scotland between 1841 and 1920. The most Cornfoot families were found in and Scotland in 1841. In 1880 there were 11 Cornfoot families living in California."
-
"The Anglo-Saxon name Cornfoot comes from when the family resided in or near the settlement of Cornford in the county of Durham."
-
I find names interesting.
-
It's 94 now. The plants are watered.
-
While I prefer not to have 94 degree temps, I do wish it was warmer here.
-
Rosie hated the song, Come On a My House. She didn't want to sing it. She refused until she took her record label seriously that they were going to charge her with breaking her contact and fine her. It was her biggest hit.
-
I remember reading that.
-
Good afternoon.
-
Don't feel like watching a movie. Maybe it's reading time.
-
But first ...
-
... A page turn.
-
Four!

Okay.
Interesting. At least, they both can really sing. ;)

I'd read that, too. That's pretty sad that she couldn't sing the kinds of songs that she wanted to sing. :-\
-
HAPPY COLUMBO DAY!
-
Cornfoot.
-
My name is nowhere as interesting as that.
-
The pair of keets are now engaging their new ladder. It is most amusing.
-
I was not aware of the Bogdasarian-Saroyan connection and am most intrigued by it.
-
It is now 55 degrees here and predicted for frost/freeze here so I have activated my furnace.
-
Monday.....Columbus Day....Indiginous People's day [or however it is spelled] and Canadian Thanksgiving Day.....
All I know is it is NO MAIL and NO BANKING Day......as you can tell, I am NOT with it or up to date with the WOKE crowd.....too old and too smart and too stubborn to GAF.

Hi everyone, from the Right coast.
-
And the Eastern time zone.
-
And I don't care who wants to correct me or educate me. FU.
-
The trip was smooth as can be, logistically.
-
I'll be dead soon so you can do whatever the F you want.
-
Even shut my eyes for a while.
-
Good news DR singdaw.
-
Since I wasn't flying the plane myself.
-
I think you have attained the age where your approach is entirely warranted, DR Jrand74.
-
I dined at Mama Leone's at least once. I don't remember if the food was decent, but as an experience it was kind of fun.
-
The trip was smooth as can be, logistically.
That's great.
-
Can we credit HHW travel vibes for the smooth trip?
-
And I don't care who wants to correct me or educate me. FU.
It look me ten minutes to realize that FU stands for Follow Up.
-
Or maybe Financial Utilization.
-
Or Fordham University.
-
Almost time for page 5
-
We made it! Page Five!
-
Glad the the flight for DR singdaw was good......
-
I am now the panic at 6:16 p.m. when I remember that my trash container needs to be on the curb at 6:30 a.m. in the morning.
It is now in its proper location....because I am certainly NOT arising before 6:30 a.m. Tuesday morning or ANY morning in the future.....
-
My name is nowhere as interesting as that.
;D I wouldn't complain about that.

Hi.

I can rarely do that.

Since I wasn't flying the plane myself.
That's a relief ;)

Starting Sometimes a Great Notion. Great cast. Fine Henry Mancini score. And Lee Remick.
-
I will stop it when it's time for the concert.

No photo yet DR JANE maybe tomorrow....I'm old and lazy.

I'll wait :)

-
Onward!
-
Six!
-
The show is over. It did have a few good moments, including an appearance from Gwen Waltz that was touching.
-
I like the fact that it ended with Everybody Rejoice, Luther Vandross's song from The Wiz. I always thought it was the perfect campaign song.
-
I packed up three boxes of books to donate. It still doesn’t look or feel as if I have made a dent.
-
Watching a spy flick called The Kremlin Letter. It’s pretty interesting, and the cast is stellar, except for the leading man, who is a zero. But Richard Boone, Orson Welles, Dean jagger, Bibi Anderssen, Lili Kedrova, George Sanders and more keep it fun.
-
Let me get this straight - not a single person here can answer FJL's question as to where the online Kritzerland shows are? Really? No one remembers where they watched them? I am baffled beyond repair.
FJL, all of the online shows are on YouTube on my channel: haineshisway. May, 2020 was the first of them.
-
Back from a really fun dinner at The Smokehouse - it's their anniversary, so they have a special menu this month with everything on it $19.46, the year they opened. I had the shrimp Louis and it was superb. If I go again, I'll try the New York steak.
-
Don't know if I'm up for watching anything, as I have to get to bed right after posting the notes.
-
We shall see.
-
Good night, all.
-
Where in tarnation IS everyone?
-
Is this a vacation week?
-
I had to put the heat on - but now it's too hot.
-
So, I believe the solution is to turn the heat off.
-
I gave that quite a bit of thought.
-
I did, I really did.
-
My goodness, we're not very far on this page, are we?
-
Well, let me find some fun music to listen to and then I'll begin writing the notes.
-
Naturally, no posts since before beginning the notes.
-
Not very sporting.
-
Ridic.
-
And of course, no sign of George, who's probably off looking for a burrito.
-
And still page six.
-
Most unseemly.
-
Notes are finished.
-
And will be up right on time.
-
Oh George, where the HELL are you?
-
Certainly not here.
-
Most likely he's there.
-
Is there gaslighting going on?
-
See?
-
Ah, the page that shall not be named.
-
And still no George.
-
As they said in Rome: Quid facias, cum aliquis desit?
-
Et tu, George? Ubinam es?
-
quare nos dereliquisti?
-
Discisne auctoritates Aristotelis?
-
An legendi casus Romani?
-
ecquando sciemus?
-
That's Latin, baby.

Real Latin. Not this South American stuff.
-
The kind Plato knew. Not Dana, the old guy, Plato.
-
And still no George.
-
He and his jam or gone with the wind.
-
He is having an escapade.
-
Of perhaps he dozed off.
-
Whatever it is, I'm against it.
-
Well, he has twelve minutes to show up and make seventy-five postings.
-
What a piece of work is man - sorry - George.
-
And then there were ten minutes.

Gratuitous Post #200!!

I am fortunate in that there are dumpsters (trash, recycling, cardboard recycling, glass, yard waste) in several places around the condo complex and we can dispose of our items at anytime, night or day, on any day. The garbage dumpsters are emptied twice a week, and the rest one (or less, in the case of glass...I think).
-
Today, I went to Taco Del Mar and had one of their burritos...and not the small one, either. ;D
-
I also added a side of the queso, so that made it even better.
-
It was all quite delish.
-
Then I did a little shopping at Fred Meyer and got the new limited edition Coke-flavored Oreos with popping candy!
-
I haven't opened them yet, but I will soonly.
-
I have no idea how Coke-flavored Oreos with popping candy will actually taste. :-\
-
I am excited about the "popping candy"...I used to really like Pop Rocks.
-
Oh, look who dropped in.
-
Out of the blue.
-
Out of nowhere.

Page eight has made its entrance.

Last year, I got some red, white and blue Hershey bars that also had "popping candy" in them...they were fun to east, as well as tasty. :)
